Take two young musicians, a shared love of chilled-out covers, and a music scene that shaped their sound, and you’ve got Fleur & Toby, an acoustic duo from Dorset who are fast becoming local favourites.
Whether you catch them at a cider festival, in a cosy pub, or scrolling past one of their TikToks, one thing’s for sure: this pair know how to take a tune and make it their own.
🎤 From College Classmates to Crowd-Pleasers
Fleur & Toby first crossed paths at college while studying music, and the chemistry clicked straight away. “We started performing together not long after meeting,” they explain. Since then, they’ve been blending vocals, acoustic guitar, and easy-going charm into live sets packed with familiar favourites.
🎶 Chilled Covers with a Genre-Bending Twist
Don’t let the stripped-back setup fool you, this isn’t your average acoustic pub set. Fleur & Toby bring a mellow, soulful vibe to everything from pop and indie to R&B and alternative. One moment it’s Teenage Dirtbag, the next it’s Castles by Freya Ridings. They’ve got range, and they know how to read a room.
“We both have different favourites,” they admit. “Our answer to that question changes all the time!”
🎸 Raised by Dorset’s Music Scene

Both Fleur and Toby started gigging young, cutting their teeth on Dorset’s live circuit before joining forces.
“The local scene gave us the real-world experience we needed,”
they say.
“It helped us grow as performers and develop professionally.”
From pubs and cafés to big local festivals, Dorset gave them their stage, and they’ve been making the most of it ever since.
🍻 Special Venues & Wild Crowd Moments
Ask them to name a meaningful venue and they’re quick to shout out The Lugger Inn in Chickerell. “It was Toby’s first paid gig, and the first to book us as a duo,” they say. Then there’s the Dorchester Cider Festival, where the energy was high, the crowd was huge, and the vibes were top-tier.
And the wildest moment on stage? “It’s usually the dance moves,” they laugh. “But once a guy tried to put a tip into Toby’s guitar mid-song. Another time, a woman used her flip-flops to slap her partner in time with the music!”
☀️ What’s Next?
The summer’s looking busy, with gigs lined up across Dorset, and both artists working toward some big personal milestones in the music industry. They’re keeping some plans under wraps, but fans can expect plenty more live music, new content, and some cheeky behind-the-scenes moments.
