One of pop music’s most inventive and enduring acts is heading to the south coast this summer. Sparks will perform at the Bournemouth International Centre on Wednesday 17 June 2026 as part of a run of UK dates.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 30 January, and fans can expect a career-spanning show packed with the band’s trademark theatrical flair, sharp songwriting, and genre-defying pop.

Formed by brothers Ron Mael and Russell Mael, Sparks have been delighting audiences for decades with their unique mix of art-pop, humour and musical experimentation. From cult favourites to chart hits, their live shows are known for being equal parts spectacle and celebration.

The band released their 28th studio album, MAD! in 2024 alongside the companion EP MADDER!, both of which were widely praised by critics. Their recent world tour earned glowing reviews, with critics celebrating the band’s energy, wit and ability to deliver thrilling pop performances even after more than five decades in the industry.

For UK fans, the Bournemouth show will be part of a short run of summer dates:

Sparks first captured the UK’s imagination in 1974 with their iconic hit This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us. Since then they have remained one of pop’s most influential and unpredictable acts. Their impact can be traced through generations of artists, from Joy Division and Depeche Mode to modern acts like The Last Dinner Party.

More than fifty years into their career, Sparks continue to prove that originality never goes out of style. And this June, Dorset audiences will get the chance to see exactly why they’re still one of the most fascinating live bands around.
