Bournemouth artist Nory-J has officially released his latest single ‘Weekend With Benny’, continuing his rise as one of the South Coast’s most exciting emerging voices in alt-pop.
Blending indie influences with polished pop production, the track adds another layer to an already diverse and fast-growing catalogue.
A Sound Gaining Serious Momentum
Over the past few years, Nory-J has been steadily carving out his place in the UK indie scene. His music has landed on Apple Music’s Alt Pop editorial playlist, sitting alongside artists like Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Gracie Abrams.
Airplay across BBC Introducing and national radio has helped push his sound even further, with support from stations including BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Solent.
His previous releases, including Fake Fruit and Irrelevant Benevolent, showcased a knack for blending genres while keeping a strong pop core. Now, ‘Weekend With Benny’ looks set to take things up another level.

New Collaboration, New Energy
The new single also marks Nory-J’s first collaboration with producer Rhys Fletcher, known for his work with artists like Harry Marshall and Gia Lily.
The result is a track that leans into alt-pop textures, indie sensibilities and polished production, while still keeping that DIY edge that’s become part of Nory-J’s identity.
Live Dates Incoming
To celebrate the release, Nory-J will be taking the track on the road with a run of live dates:
22 March 2026 – The Joiners
27 March 2026 – God’s House Tower
3 April 2026 – The Thunderbolt
With a growing list of festival appearances, support slots and headline shows under his belt, Nory-J’s live presence continues to gain traction across the UK.
One to Watch
Industry backing has continued to grow year on year. From BBC Radio features to festival shortlists including Truck Festival and Isle of Wight Festival, Nory-J’s momentum shows no signs of slowing.
With ‘Weekend With Benny’ now released and more live shows on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year.
